This is the second time I have stayed at Newlands Lodges and would return for a 3rd. The lodges are in a beautiful tranquil setting. The views are incredible. Having stayed in both summer and autumn both are equally beautiful. The lodge just has a lovely feel to it. The decor is tasteful. The beds are extremely comfortable and its the perfect place to escape for the weekend with family or friends.

2 night stay for New Year. Lovely pub. We had a luxury king room which was exceptionally large with a view over the countryside and lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed having beautiful white bed linen together with white fluffy towels that were actually large enough to wrap around yourself (luxury) Food was exceptional with so much choice and that included the breakfast as well. Credit to all staff who worked hard and were very friendly. Plenty of car parking. Will definitely call again.

Rooms were in perfect condition and credit to the staff, everything was operational e.g. Lights, shower, TV & remote, etc. Food choice was exceptional and of very fine quality. Our party of 10 were all served dinner at the same time by friendly waiting staff. Ample car parking for our three cars.

Very comfortable rooms with superking sized beds which are a rarity in B&Bs. Food was excellent, both for breakfast (with proper coffee!), and for dinner with a specials board with a wide variety of dishes. All the staff were very friendly and informative. Extensive free parking. A gem of a find, set amongst the beautiful rolling countryside at the junction of Northumberland and Durham, allowing easy access to all areas around.

The pub is in a beautiful position with ample car parking. Quiet with stunning views. We had Hadrian room which looked over towards the church with lovely birdsong in the morning. The room was large and furnished well. The bathroom was large and everything was clean with ample towels, pillows and toiletries. The staff were warm and friendly and the food was very good. Must mention the lovely lady in the morning and the wonderful breakfast. Good choice of beers and test and trace adhered to fully. All in all very good.
