Our hostess was amazing! Every morning we had a hot, cooked breakfast made for us, catered to allergies and preferences, and we were greeted by a fresh pot of tea and a fresh pot of coffee, too. If we had any questions or concerns, they were both listened to, understood, and acted upon accordingly in a swift manner. We were also given great recommendations for local attractions and Cafés/restaurants, which was very much welcome. We could not have asked for a better experience, and can not thank Suruchi and her family for making our anniversary holiday feel spectacular. We're already looking forward to coming back.

Great stay, Jovial helpful staff and great food. Very enjoyable, would recommend. We were staying for the outdoor screening of Withnail and I. Great view from our room and good value. Booked last minute. Nice big car park with plenty parking. Dinner was good.. large pie portion couldn't eat it all. Breakfast good.
Location was 10/10. The grounds were immaculate and perfect for those with a dog.
The staff were so helpful and welcoming.

Excellent guest house with free parking and good access to Pooley Bridge and the Ullswater Steamers and Aira Force waterfalls. It was clean, with toiletries, refreshments and biscuits provided. There was also an honesty bar for drinks and snacks. The cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious! Really nice spot, with lovely view of Ullswater.
We liked everything the hotel, cleanliness, the room, the access for getting our dog in and out of our room, the access to the lake through the hotel grounds so we could paddle board. The breakfast and the view from the terrace when we were having drinks after dinner was stunning. The staff throughout the hotel totally looked after us and nothing was too much trouble, the car parking was spacious and easy. It was lovely and we will definitely be staying again and have recommended now to friends and family.
Beautiful location. Stunning grounds, and very welcoming and friendly staff. Our dog was made welcome too. Think he was enjoying all the attention he got. Not far from local attractions, we visited Aira falls and Lowther Castle. Recommended to get to car parks early, we did and had no trouble parking whereas it was very busy when we got back to our car.
Breakfast was pleasant, breakfast staff friendly, room was clean, free parking. Myself and partner played battleships board game (supplied by host) in the social room.
Convenient location for walking in the area. Nice aspect overlooking the Lake.
It’s a pub so you can get an evening meal without needing to go out again when back from a long day on the Fells.
