The Jewel in the crown is beautiful we all loved the decor and it felt very cosy. Perfect for a family break.
A lovely farm style kitchen, two lovely bedrooms, a beautiful cosy sitting area and a further sitting area.
Very clean stylish bathroom and property very clean throughout.
Barbara the host was very welcoming and friendly. Made to feel like nothing was too much trouble.
The kitchen was well stocked with bread, milk, cereals, jam, bacon, butter - and the best free range eggs from the chickens on the farm (they were delicious).
The cottage also had stocked bathroom, games to play, TV and WiFi (though we didn't really use WiFi as we were having a lovely time without it).
The views are beautiful surrounding the cottage. You even get your own little garden.
My children loved seeing the animals on the farm too it was a real highlight.
All in all just a wonderful place to stay, highly reccomend.

Great location by the lake. Really friendly staff.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
I loved pulling in to the car park to see what seemed to be an oasis. So tranquil and beautiful and met by such a happy and friendly staff member.
The hot tub was absolutely brilliant. So easy to get the cover on and off and the instructions were really easy to follow.
Cottage was very clean and has all you need for a great stay. Great location near a nice pub and perfect for The Roaches. Parking was handy too. Would definitely recommend.
Stunning location and absolutely immaculate accommodation. The house was absolutely spotless, beds extremely comfortable and facilities excellent. Such a quiet, beautiful, tranquil stay with very easy parking and the hot tub was also superb. Nothing but the birdsong and the rolling hills - perfect for getting away from the stresses of life. All rules were extremely reasonable and common courtesy! Outstanding stay.
Loved its proximity to Alton Towers (7 miles approx), it was beautifully quiet and private, fully equipped kitchen, living area with freeview TV, WiFi (SD streaming quality), lovely comfy bed, powerful shower, fully private hot tub, allocated parking space. Would definitely stay again!
Totally exceeded our expectations. The bed was EXTREMELY comfy (they’ve clearly listened to the reviews and acted on previous reviews as the bed was absolutely gorgeous) and the views are to die for. Gorgeous hot tub made for an amazing romantic stay, in the middle of the beautiful countryside. Totally peaceful - just you and the birdies and an occasional sheep. Staff left us alone to enjoy our stay but we knew where to find them if we needed anything. Safe and secure parking, clean shower and kitchen area … absolute paradise. Thank you.
Looked very pretty and although houses and businesses near by, we didn't feel overlooked. Very quiet at night time. Once fire going very warm, well equipped. Great location for The Roaches, pub round corner is really good. Romantic. Plenty of plug sockets. Free Tea, coffee and biscuits but no milk. Parking available. Great for a couple of nights.
Wonderful night's stay to attend a wedding. The room was thoughtfully decorated with all you could need, very comfortable bed with modern bathroom, and incredible views. The host was extremely accommodating to us working around the timings for the wedding and suggested a taxi company who were brilliant. The picnic hamper breakfast was a fantastic touch for the morning. We had read the reviews about the long driveway and didn't find it to be an issue at all when driving slowly, the parking spot was much appreciated!
