Stayed here as part of a motorbike tour of South Wales, there was secure off road parking for our motorbikes.

Beautiful interior, lots of character. Luxury furnishings. Feather down quilt, luxury feather pillows. Double lined hand made thermal curtains beautifully made. High quality furniture, beautiful fixture and fittings. Lovely homemade Welsh cakes in a cute little glass dome, and real milk in the fridge, not your normal long life pods. Nice touch!

The room was really clean, spacious and smelt lovely. The area was really quiet too :) The staff member Carl (I believe he could be the owner) was really friendly and even let us check in 2hrs early. Short drive to the national park and a town centre with shopping & activities facilities and restaurants. Lots of car parking spaces (free) and a cafe right next door, we came Saturday - Sunday so unfortunately didn’t get to try the food Sunday morning but smelt lovely Saturday afternoon. If we returned to Dowlais we would definitely consider staying again - very good value for money.

A lovely apartment very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The room was large and very clean.

As previous guests have commented; a quirky house. A very "busy" interior which my children thought was wonderful. Plenty of space. Easy street parking.
Whilst I didn't meet the hosts the instructions & directions provided were accurate and very helpful. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. Free parking, and as the apartments are behind code controlled gates, very secure. Personally I couldn't get the WiFi to work but that is probably more down to me than an issue with Castle Lodge as they did provide the code & password. Value for money, very good

Very lovely pub, the room was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was great and we did stay for an evening meal which was equally as excellent. There is free parking across the road, its not too far to away. Its about 30mins drive to breacon beacons.
stayed here twice now and would definitely highly recommend. Room is superb as is the breakfast. I’ve also purchased evening meals here twice and the food is amazing. great staff too. plenty of nearby free parking.
