This is a fabulous hotel, worthy of far more than 3 stars in my opinion. The hotel and restaurant were so well kept and decorated, the evening meal was superb, I can highly recommend the Skewer! The room was very spacious, huge very comfortable bed and the shower room perfect. Breakfast was included in our very good price and it was excellent! Plenty to eat and good choices.

Having been to Tredegar many as it is where my daughter and grandchildren live I know quite a lot of the local area. There are shopping facilities and walks and park’s within easy travelling distance which are great for the young and old. Nice places to eat and drink depending on your taste.

The apartment was comfortable, the countryside around Tredegar is spectacular with lots of walks and places to visit. The town is proud of its industrial past and local political hero, Aneurin Bevan. Although the town is a little run down, like many valleys towns, it is clearly working hard at regeneration and improvement. The people, in proper Welsh tradition, are genuine and friendly.

Tredegar town seems to be a typical Welsh town with lots of pubs and places to eat but was also not too busy which was a nice change for me. The people I met were very friendly and as an outsider I was made to feel welcome and at no point did I feel unsafe. I would look forward to going back to this town again.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! All staff were friendly and so helpful, making our stay even better! The room was so much bigger than expected and was so clean and tidy, lovely décor with everything we could need and more. Ordering breakfast was so easy, and it was always done so quickly and was a great quality. We ate here for dinner and lunch too, and both times we weren't disappointed. Would stay here again and definitely recommend, was only 20 minutes or so to Brecon which is where we were running.

Nice hotel in a historic building. Comfortable room with lots of character. Large bed, efficient heating (nights in Wales can be chilly!). Good breakfast. Nice staff, patient with our difficulties to understand the Welsh accent! We did not test the hotel's restaurant, but there is a cheap eatery just in front of the hotel and a few more in Tredegar. Tredegar is a good location to explore the Brecon Beacons. We booked the hotel at a discounted price, and for this price it was excellent value for money.

Fantastic hotel! A really welcome reception, staff were warm, friendly and very helpful (and fun to chat with!). The bedroom overlooked hotel roofs and the kitchen extractor fan, not so good but couldn't be helped. Bed really comfy. Breakfast was amazing and would really recommend the eggs royale, perfectly cooked. As a base for exploring the Brecon Beacons or just for a one night stay, perfect!
