The welcoming and friendly reception staff, the excellent breakfast and the general feel of the place. We loved a walk around the spacious garden of the hotel and although there is no restaurant at the hotel, a 2 minute walk to a nice pub restaurant which served great food. The gentleman and the English lady at reception were fantastic.

Plenty of space, safe garden for the dog. The beds were comfy and the house had quality fixtures and fittings. Truly excellent communication for the host throughout the process. Well located a few minutes from the M1 and easy to access the whole area. Always managed to park on the street either right outside or a little way along.

Room very comfortable, house very clean . The host are just super welcoming , nice , adorable. They make you very comfortable, they’re very helpful. I spent a really nice moment in this house. Perfect location only 15 minutes from Nottingham city centre. Facilities, pubs and restaurants close by. We were a family of 7 and the property was perfect for our long weekend away whilst attending a wedding. Light and airy, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

Extremely clean and tidy staff excellent friendly it was like being at home toilets and showers extremely clean. Honestly there was nothing to dislike about The Horse and Jockey.

Lavender Cottage is a wonderful little cottage on a really quiet little lane. It has a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, office with a view of the little back garden and 2 bedrooms. Having an additional washroom on the ground floor as well as the upstairs bathroom is an additional bonus. The only improvement is that one of the beds is a bit lumpy. There are 2 local pubs within walking distance, one of them serves pub food. We would highly recommend this little gem.
