The owner, Helen, ist extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful view to the des Form the very comfortable room, immediately at the beach, lovely breakfast. We saw dolphins and one seal and osprey - big recommendation . Very nice restaurant: Crofters immediately there, wonderful hikes at the des and up a nice river.

Guthrie and Horst are world travelers and we engaged in interesting conversations about Scotland's history and many other topics. Such an interesting and gracious couple who treated us like family rather than guests.  Not only did they provide us with a warm, modern and clean room but also the most comfortable bed we have slept in on our month long trip.  The Mended Drum's beautiful gardens enhance the captivating views of the North Sea sunrises.
