Great garden area (though I understand it is a community garden). The adjacent Community Village shop is lovingly cared for and very well stocked. We got stuck in traffic and reached the cottage at. 9:45 pm and still we received a warm welcome from the host also as a kind gesture the host has kept a bottle of milk for our baby. Lovely old hotel in the middle of the village. I called in & asked if I could drop off heavy rucksack & the proprietor Susan said I could check in early. She was very nice to chat with & so helpful. Comfy room & bed, good shower. Everything I needed. Big breakfast. I had a great walk down to Kenmure Castle - fascinating, spooky place in beautiful surroundings (see my photo). Could have very happily stayed for a week!
