The property was very quirky and pleasant. Justin was very helpful and even gave us a lift to a local venue as we had problems with a taxi which we were very grateful for. The parking was not an issue as the pay and display was only down the road.
The location was perfect. There was free parking (in February). We had a friendly welcome and found The Old Bake house to be relaxed, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the flexibility of the continental breakfast, being able to help ourselves when we were ready and having access to the small kitchenette. In the evening Justin lit the fire in the grate in our room which was a nice touch.
Beautiful hotel in a really quaint village. The rooms were very clean and had good facilities, ie tv and tea and coffee facilities. The beds were really warm and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly and the breakfast was the best we've had in a long time at a hotel. Parking outside was a little tricky, but it is a small village and there is a public car park about 100 yards away. Definitely would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, location, value for money and friendliness of staff.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Very well situated in lovely interesting area. Fortunately plenty of parking places in car park round the corner.
