Good size kitchen, all utensils etc, essentials for fire and didn’t take long to warm up, good location (20 mins drive to York centre) so very peaceful and calm area to stay, would recommend and like to go back again ourselves

We had a gorgeous dinner on the Friday evening after a long drive up from London. It was a really well thought out menu and it was delicious. The wine list was also great and complemented the menu really well.

What’s not to like?!! This B&B is without a shadow of a doubt the BEST we have ever stayed in! The glamping pod wasn’t what I was expecting, it was better. Absolutely fantastic place. I brought lots of camping equipment but it wasn’t Evan used due to simply not needing it. Kettle, towels, utensils you name it was there. Evan some games in the draw. All in all a brilliant place to go for a first date or if you’ve been a long term relationship.

Beautifully furnished and super clean, queries were answered promptly by the owner. Location was perfect. Being less than 10 minutes from park and ride into York, pub opposite with friendly, helpful staff. Close to national park and other interesting places.

Perfect location. Close to the A1 for a stop off yet it seemed a world away. Michelle, the host, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
We loved the warm atmosphere and the staff especially "The Boss"! We're were given recommendations on local eateries and a booking was made for us. Not too far from the Park and Ride for a day in York.

Our self-catering apartment (including conservatory) was spacious, relaxing and quiet, being well out in the countryside and neighbouring the well-known former RAF base. The beds were particularly comfortable and the wi-fi was good. Enough basics (e.g. tea, coffee and dishwasher tablets) were supplied to last us throughout our two-night self-catering stay. There was plenty of car parking space. The kind landlady was particularly sympathetic to an accidental breakage.
The breakfast was nice and simple, lots of options. They do cooked breakfast and cereal. I had poached eggs which were nice. The room was comfy, with a TV and I had an en suite. All clean. The parking is round the back of the property and feels safe. I was able to leave my car there. The village is a quiet place. The dining room is pleasant to eat in
It was a quiet location set back from the road.
The kitchen type facilities were really helpful.
The big car park was great
There was a lovely walk down to the canal with a great cafe by the locks.
The B&B is very well located; close to York and a little further to Harrogate. There is ample parking and a warm welcome. The room was very nice, very large with a great bathroom. Lighting in the room is very good. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely huge and fantastic; all cooked to order.
