Wow what a treat to stay at Molly's Cottage! I booked a stay for two weeks, and ended up staying a month as I didn't want to leave. Quaint town house in a small town nestled between Wales and England. It had absolutely everything I could have needed: firewood, kitchen supplies, friendly neighbours and even some wine. Perfect for a short or longer stay, greatly situated in town and for access to Offa's Dyke. Generously looked after by the caretaker Helen, the cottage felt like home. A real writer's retreat! Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I hope to come back.

All very friendly staff, lovely and clean great decor everywhere. Spacious in the pub area very warm and cozy. Nothing was any problem staff totally on board, good communication. The best stay we’ve have had in a long while. Meals cooked to perfection and done how you personally like it ( I really enjoyed this as I do have a few dietary problems). We also liked the way the rooms were just alongside the pub so you didn’t have to keep walking through the pub to get to them. So nicer to come and go as you please! Plenty of shops near by and walks great place to stay and visit!

A Victorian hotel both in use as, and under conversion to, boutique style accommodation. Central location with cafes and restaurants, wine bar, pub. Parking is free though perhaps limited (there's also an adjacent council car park). Staff were friendly and helpful. On a previous visit access was only by boutique-type key-code, but is now upgraded with reception. Great value for money. Have used before, will again.

Great location, with free parking on the road. We were all impressed with the quality of the whole house. Beds were great, very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked re utensils etc and very nice to have a few welcome treats waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived, thanks Camilla! Knighton is a great location for walks along Offers Dyke. Lots of pubs to choose from and we had a couple of nice meals out.

Clean, comfortable, welcoming, private. Jane was really helpful and it was really convenient to have self-service breakfast whenever you wanted it. Nice to have a space to sit and watch TV in the lounge area too. The off street parking was a bonus and the location was far enough from the main road to be away from traffic noise.

The place was immaculate from top to bottom, lots of fresh towels, very quiet, dark, plenty of secure parking, beautiful countryside and friendly owner. Huge mugs to make your tea in the room.... spot on, life's too short for china cups. We opted to book a table for evening meal and the vegetarian options were numerous, the list was an A4 page long and very varied. We had both the loaf and the pie, both very nice and the service was both attentive and pleasant.

We had a great room with a fantastic view in the middle of the town. There are a few free parking spaces at the rear of the hotel and as we were there to walk the Offa's Dyke trail I didn't need to move the car at all during our stay. The local train station and buses are just around the corner and we used both. This is a great base to spend time in Mid Wales.
