Very friendly staff. Good location for us. Even though on main road, very little noise. Good breakfast. Room dark as very old building with small window and very thick walls. Recommended

The Hare and Hounds Hotel is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The restaurant and bar had a lovely, cozy atmosphere, the food and service were excellent, and the drawing room and library were perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or coffee by the fire. I stayed in a room in the main building, which was beautiful, spacious, clean, and well-equipped with great amenities. The breakfast was delicious and offered everything you could want (and more).
The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which really enhanced my stay. As a solo female traveler visiting a slightly remote area (although there are many great destinations just a few minutes’ drive away), staying at a hotel can feel a bit daunting. However, I felt completely relaxed and safe, allowing me to fully enjoy my stay. The reception team also put me in contact with a local chauffeur service (Steven) and he was incredibly friendly and took me to a couple of different locations around Tetbury. He was very reasonably priced, provided a 10/10 service and I would highly recommend him if you have travelled by the train and need to get around the Cotswolds.
I'm honestly surprised this hotel isn't rated 5 stars, as it’s one of the loveliest and coziest hotels I’ve stayed at, with every little detail thoughtfully considered by the management team. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Nice big car park, standard Greene King menus - where the food is always good - and a typical Greene King room which is clean and tidy. The location was ideal for what I required and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was good for what we wanted. Plenty of character about the place. Lots of car parking and it was free. . Good it had a restaurant. Menu was okay and breakfast was lovely. Staff were quite obliging.
Room was ok, but there were cobwebs and a spider. Bathroom was made for wheelchair person?? strange to use and dated.
Free parking and lots of it was good.
Beds were comfortable although my partner thought his felt damp ?? as though bedding was still damp when bed was made.
Did not have breakfast.
