This was a short trip away to celebrate my birthday. Neither my husband or I had been to Ripon before so we were not sure what to expect. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with really good choices. Totally different from the normal offerings at other establishments. The evening meals were outstanding too, food presentation and value for money 10/10. I would not hesitate in recommending Valentino's to anyone. A bonus to be able to park in a busy centre too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. We also had a meal at their sister property The Water Rat, a short stroll along the river. Equally as good food and excellent staff too. Thank you so much for a really lovely stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ripon is very lucky to have a place like yours!!!

Really tastefully and artistically designed with lovely touches everywhere that make all the difference. Every homely convenience was provided and the dining area was relaxing with soothing music and fragrance. The bed was supremely comfortable and the place was absolutely spotless. Absolutely stunning view from this cottage! It is right beside, almost underneath, the iconic and awe-inspiring Knaresborough viaduct, with the river quietly flowing below. And the view from the cottage in the evenibg is especially unbelievable! We have never had such a peacefully quiet, serene place outside our windows at night. The pink room is tastefully decorated with a super comfy bed and fluffy (not flat!) pillows.
