Location of the lodges was lovely and peaceful. A car is necessary to easy access to many interesting places to visit. We had a lovely time. Having two young children with us, the area felt safe to let them play outside the lodge.

Quiet and comfortable with easy access to local attractions. Very helpful host. Facilities are basic but we didn't mind that, and it's reflected in the price. Enjoyed having our own space in the wooded area as the top field looked a bit blowy! Showers were great. Another time I'd bring a trolley with wheels to make moving our stuff easier, as you can't park right next to your yurt/pod.

The size was great for a family of 5, it was mostly clean plenty bedding provided for the pull out sofa bed. It had everything we needed to cook and to ensure a comfortable stay. The site is quiet and private, this helped if you’re conscious about getting in and out the hottub without people seeing. Pool guy was polite and serviced the tub with a smile.

We had a lovely few days in Helmsley staying at the Black Swan. Our room was a good size and clean. The food was great, especially the pies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll be going back soon.

Comfort Position Quiet except early morning road traffic
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
great off-street parking behind the hotel, draught beer, good food, extensive breakfast, outside seating, very quiet room (no traffic noise at all, but the room was to the rear of the hotel)

I used the hotel as a base as i was working in the area. I prefer a hotel with some history to it and this one goes back to 1840, a great bar, restaurant excellent, good car parking spaces, rooms large and everything works in them, WIFI fine, the staff friendly and helpful. This hotel would be perfect for those who are on holiday and want a central base. Will be coming back to stay here again with work.
