Peter and his family made our stay so wonderful! He gave us a lot of recommendations for sights to see around the area and hiking trails. We got the full English countryside experience! The house and the gardens are so lovely. So much care has been taken when renovating the house and honoring Florence Nightingale's history. The bed was also really comfortable. We slept really well. It's one of the most relaxing places I've been to!

The cottage was in a great location for us to explore the surrounding areas with our dogs. The owner was very thoughtful and had provided towels for the dogs too. Kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was well insulated. Will come again

The location was excellent for walking derwent valley heritage way, the village was lovely it accepted 2 dogs as I never holiday without my dogs. The cottage was perfect for our needs.
