An absolutely beautiful hostel, really well thought out and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and a quiet location, a great night's sleep. The owners were really friendly. The building has an interesting history as the former school gymhall and is now a really modern but cosy hostel. Ideal for cycle touring, there's a bike shed out back.

This appartment is really amazing. It has excellent facilities: well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a nice sitting room with fantastic views over the sea and the harbour of Helmsdale. A very quiet location, especially at night. Ruth is friendly and helpfull and organised a warm welcome and a cosy atmosphere.

Set in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning views, this little house had everything we needed. We were a group of 4 adults but if you brought children then they certainly wouldn’t be bored - so many games and toys upstairs.

We only stayed one night, but I would have loved to stay longer - it was so homely and relaxing.

This was a great value location. There is an electric car charging place across the road and parking behind the hotel. Good restaurants within a few yards of the hotel and The Bridge Guest House is excellent value.

Very homely place to stay. And interesting decor. Lorna was very friendly and welcoming and was very generous with what she had to offer us apart from breakfast. An easy going atmosphere and we felt relaxed there. Great position by sea front yet close to town.

The bathroom was spacious and clean.
In general the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.
The breakfast buffet was a great spread with a large amount for all the guests.
Parking was easy and free on all streets and opposite the car park. The hotel does have a car park but it isn't signposted very well or at all.
