In the market town of Harleston, in the idyllic surroundings of the Norfolk and Suffolk borders, this 15th century coaching inn offers comfortable, modern en suite accommodation.

Steeped in history, the hotel was restored in 1999 to a very high standard. All rooms are attractively decorated, well equipped and en suite, with an ambience of comfort and relaxation. Parking is limited near the hotel, but there is a public car park well within walking distance, We had breakfast at the hotel for our two night stay, There was a slight variation in content, the first morning being the better of the two. Next time(October) we will try the restaurant. Everywhere in the town is walkable from the hotel. The staff were really helpful, friendly including the morning cleaners!

Fantastically characterful building right in the centre of town. The roof was warm, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of onsite parking. The bar was nice, with a roaring fire. A quirky building that was cosy and convenient.

Friendly and welcoming staff, charming rooms with period features, nice restaurant and bar on ground floor, really excellent breakfast the next morning. Parking was free, but limited outside the hotel, with more free parking about a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Before I forget, the room also had Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, biscuits and 2 bottles of spring water, (which was a really nice touch). We would definitely stay there again.
