On arrival parking was easy, the location was well suited as a break from a long trip from Scotland, on arrival Lucy was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome, food was great! locals were friendly and added to the welcoming atmosphere during the evening, local beers on tap were delicious and went very well with the gourmet pub grub, we were lucky enough to have a musician turn up and provide entertainment whilst enjoying the local brews and the jovial atmosphere provided by the very friendly locals. Recommended as a respite from a long drive providing great accommodation with huge bathroom and lots of little extras that made our stay, Oh, and not to forget that the pub is dog friendly and rooms were far enough away from the pub noise to allow for a early night if needed.

Everything about our stay and the cottage was perfect. The welcome was warm and friendly, greeted by Karen. The room was luxurious, we wanted for nothing. It was warm and welcoming with a fully stocked tea tray, lovely china cups nd a range of drinks on offer. Milk was kept in the fridge. The bathroom was a lovely size, shower ws nice and toiletries and fluffy towels provided. The bed was comfy and luxurious bedding.

The appearance of the building was quite lovely with plenty of parking spaces at the front of the building as well the rear were we parked conveniently right outside the room we had for the night once I parked the landlord gave me the keys to the room he couldn’t be more helpful and he and his wife and staff members did an amazing job they made us feel so welcome the food was fabulous we had dinner and breakfast both meals were top notch 10 out of 10 on all counts we shall be coming back again that’s for sure.
Host was friendly, room was clean and well equipped, accommodated our needs well. The meal was great and really great to be able to park the car, have dinner and a drink and then walk across to our room. Breakfast was good.

Large, spacious, clean and airy room. Plenty of space for storing clothes, suitcase, rucksacks, boots etc...Clean ensuite with plenty of storage for toiletries. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of off-road parking. Great breakfast and we were able to eat early at 7:30am in order to start our walks from the pub. Bus stop for the 843 just outside - really useful for the last sections of the Wolds Way. Lovely atmosphere in the pub in the evening - a delicious meal and reasonably priced.
Great location. 15 mins to Scarborough. 35 mins to Flamingo Land. Couple who run this Inn are lovely. Really friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome. Lots of parking. Evening meals reasonably priced.
It was very well located for the purpose of our stay and the staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets. Good car parking on site.
