The property is a characterful traditional construction well maintained and in excellent decorative order. The double bedroom was comfortable and roomy, with an en-suite shower room which had everything needed. The breakfast was exceptional and served to me at 7.00 am at my request as I wanted an early start.

What a lovely and quiet location. I turned up by bicycle as I was riding the 'Lakes and Dales Loop', so it was very conveniently located as it was right on the route. The welcome was warm and my bike was safely tucked away for the night. My room was light, bright, airy and warm and really clean. The shower was great and the bed super comfy. I had to get away early the following day so didn't have time to take breakfast. The Sun Inn pub, a five minute walk away, serves fabulous food and that topped off a great stay. Thank you.

What an absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The attention to detail is impeccable from the pots of porridge for breakfast to the robes in the wardrobe, to the bottles of water provided and the pots of tea and coffee rather than little individual sachets. This is NOT your run of the mill stay. Really high quality, fresh smelling bed linen, HUGE and incredibly comfortable bed, and to top it all off, puppy kisses and cuddles. ♥️♥️ Steve, the owner and host is so friendly and welcoming you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s home. This is one of those places that you want to tell everyone about because it’s so fantastic but you also want to keep as your own secret because it’s just so good.
