It was really cozy and had everything we needed. The beds were really comfy and it was quiet and dark at night time! Our host was incredibly helpful and very responsive to anything we needed. We would definitely come back. There were 5 of us in total and it worked really well.

We had an exceptional stay at the Contended Cottage during our London visit. Kirsty is a terrific host and has created a perfect experience for families visiting London. The cottage is tastefully decorated with all mod cons and amenities provided along with super comfy beds. It’s located in a safe village-like town a short walk to Buckhurst Hill train station, which is on the Central Line giving easy access to central London. There’s ample on-street parking and a visitor permit was kindly provided for the duration of our stay. The supermarket, eateries and boutique shops are also a stone’s throw away and a traditional pub sits on the corner. Knighton Wood is next door where there’s a children’s playground and a beautiful forest for the kids to explore. Strongly recommend!!

We walked in and was hit with the wow factor. Although the images look nice it is so much nicer in person. The candle lights were turned on for our arrival and the welcome pack was a wonderful gesture.
The barn was immaculate! In all areas. The smell of the towels was amazing too I need to know what they use haha.
I also need to contact the owner to ask what duvets they had as I forgot to look. It was probably one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time.
The hot tub is such an added bonus to this already beautiful barn. The girls had a lovely time and I would definitely stay again. Thank you so much x

The "cottage" was clean, spacious and comfortable. Weili has provided everything one would need to make one's stay pleasant. The garden and patio are a nice bonus. Having the garage to place our rental car in was a real plus because there really is no on-street parking. It is a short walk to the market; and a short drive to the train station. The train/tube ride is only half and hour to central London. The 17th century vibe in the living room was nice.
Small cottage with a lot of original features showing. Easy to find and on-street parking easy enough. everything as described with a nice garden and seating and eating facilities all as described. Handy for the Herefordshire Zoo which was our visit on the weekend. Local shops were very close and one did us a very good breakfast and made a lot of fuss of our two grandsons, one of whom had a birthday and he was brought a special chocolate muffin with a candle for his breakfast.

The location was approximately 10 minutes walk to the train station which serves central London. The accommodation was clean and tidy and Heather (host) was very helpful in providing travel information. The was car parking available for free on the driveway. We stayed in the Annexe which had tea/coffee, milk, microwave and private shower and toilet. There was an added bonus of breakfast cereals in the morning! The location was also very quiet which meant we slept well.
Needed somewhere not too expensive to stay for the night after going to watch football at the Olympic Stadium. 2 mins walk to station. 30 mins into Liverpool Street.
Free parking was a massive plus too
