    perfect inn but you just need to understand that the bar closes at 1700 on sundays so no evening meal, BUT... they provided a free beef sandwich in the room, so no problem. so great service, lovely olde worlde pub, great rooms , free parking. very friendly. definately will return

    The warm and friendly welcome. The bar area is cosy, whilst our room was comfortable and perfect for 1 night. We very much enjoyed dinner, which was excellent, as indeed was the cooked breakfast. Food is recommended. We had been looking for overnight accommodation close to the A1 and the Tollemache Arms was perfect, and made a change from the more generic hotel chains. The pub is about 3 miles from the main road and located in a small village. There was ample parking in the pub car park. We look forward to staying again.

    The friendly welcome by the owner and his wife. The breakfast and one evening meal were excellent - with vegetarian options. Parking was spacious. Proximity to Rutland Water was the attraction, as we were attending Buirdfair. The country road to Oakham was scenic.

    I felt more variety was needed with the cereals. The cooked breakfast was superb. Lovely bread for toast butter and marmalade. Nice room for breakfast. Decor on ground floor was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay again. Nice gardens and good car park. The owners have not been there too long and next time I am sure everything will be marked as excellent

    Stayed overnight while travelling on our motorcycle. A pub with rooms in very attractive village. Our room was pleasant, clean and tidy with the expected facilities. The owners and staff were friendly and engaging. Both evening meals and breakfast were excellent. Private car park kept the bike safe.
