We loved our stay at Mowbray Grange. It was like home from home, with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Matty made us aware of how to access the accommodation and was available if we had any issues and left lights on ready for us arriving. The accommodation was warm and cosy. Plenty parking available outside the accommodation, but off the main road. The accommodation is set just off the main road, but you heard no road noise during the night. We would definitely stay again if we needed to stay in Bedale.

Ideal place for us to stop on our way North and South on return.Not far from A1 but enough to clear any motorway noise from our stopping point.Great staff ,good food and a comfortable room was all we needed.

My Partner & I booked this Hotel on our way home from The Wellington Heifer but as in my view of the Wellington HeiferI ended up staying here on my own as my Partner had a terrrible fall in the unsafe shower at the Wellington Eifer. Therefore I ended up staying here alone as my Partner was in Hospital. The staff were absolutely Brilliant lots of sympathy & empathy for me none of which we got at The Wellington Heifer. But staff at this Hotel were great as they could see I was terribly upset.

The staff , super friendly and i got such a lovely welcome . Dan ( I think ) sorted out a table for dinner at 5pm as I just driven up from France and as he said " must be weary " . Polite way of saying i was shattered.Food was incredible top tip is have the pie of the day !

Very good location for south/north travel. Ample free parking. Friendly staff. Dinner possible on location; and very good breakfast (for those who appreceate English breakfast and its variants - otherwise only cereals as alternative). Good bedding. Excellent shower. Although this is a busy pub and sound proofing is somewhat limited, on a friday night this did not bother us.
