Once we got there, we felt a little lost because we are not from the area. We were greeted by a nice fellow named Rob who fetched our keys to the Hop Shack for us and let us know where to park. Once we got out of the car, we were greeted by the sheep and the cute dog. (Our kids loved being able to pet the animals. My husband also noted the leeks being grown nearby.) Rob showed us how to work the gas and stove in the shack. As a precaution for our 11 month old, we chose not to use the stove (it would have kept the front part warmer for us.) We had everything we needed. We stayed here so we were close to our friend who runs the John Y Gwas Tafarn. We brought our own snacks/continental so we did not get the chance to eat on-site since we ate while out and about. This is a lovely place for either a romantic rural getaway or a lovely place to hold an event. We look forward to coming back and staying again! (We forgot to take pictures inside, but took a couple from the car on the way out, but the website pictures are accurate.)

The house was absolutely beautiful with so much space. the layout is quirky, and the upstairs lounge adds a great space for the kids. The gardens provides privacy and shade. The restaurant was stunning with delicious burgers and pizzas. The hosts were super friendly.
