Don't even know where to begin - my one day stay at La Sentinelle far, FAR exceeded my expectation! was hoping to stay overnight after my visit to neary Minerve, before heading back to Carcassoone. I randomly found La Sentinelle because the village was quite close by Minerve and it was already well-reviewed, but it turned out to be one of my top B&B experiences during my 3 wks in France!! Anna and Philip (owners) are originally from the UK (so no communication issues there!) and were so very welcoming! I messaged them a couple of times in advance to ask about recommendations for nearby activities and wineries, and they were so very generous with their responses - and Philip gave GREAT recs for wineries to check out! :) furthermore, the property itself is just beyond charming - I don't think they are advertising it enough, but the place comes with its own 1000-year-old watch tower, which Anna and Philip have cleverly converted into a cosy reading room! Not to mention they have a very nice set up for a summer kitchen that guests can use! Breakfast was fantastic, and I actually had real French press coffee for a change! :) Siran is itself a very quaint village and I would definitely, in a heartbeat, go back to La Sentinelle for another stay if - nay, when! - I plan to revisit the region soon! Thanks Anna and Philip for such a great stay! Wish it were longer!!

We enjoyed our stay. It was possible to park the car around the corner. The studio looked really beautiful, also nice that the old details of the stable can still be found. The bed slept wonderfully. The owner, John, is so kind. Always quick to respond to our messages, always quick to help us with any issues we had. The apartment is wonderful. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven,... The rooms are spacious. There is a mistake on the booking site though, one room has 1 single bed and a bunk bed; the other room has one double bed. Good WiFi, air-conditioning in every room! Shared pool and game room.
