Everything. The property was beautiful and close to the lovely historical town of Confolens. Amanda and Kevin were excellent hosts being both friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and had a beautiful view over the River Vienne. A delicious continental breakfast was provided. We would definitely return to 13Bees if we were in the area again. Excellent. Chateau-une is a beautifully presented and unique place to stay. We loved staying there.. It had the wow factor the minute we walked in the door and just kept wowing as we explored every room. Loved that we were in an authentic medieval building with all the features- oak beams and floors, featured stonework, etc.. yet had all the mod cons- beautiful bathrooms for each of the three large bedrooms (the master bedroom was luxuriously spacious!), comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, a good sized island bench, a drinks fridge, excellent wifi and relaxing couches. It was in a quiet location, yet just a couple of minutes walk from both the scenic Vienne river and a good restaurant with an extensive wine cave. The ancient ruins of the 15th century château on the cliff behind the village made for an intriguing walk and impressive views too. There's lots to see and do in the area and we would love to return for a longer stay.
