Elise and Richard are absolutely charming hosts. The room was wonderful, in fact the whole property was excellent. Our bedroom view of the fast flowing River Vienne superb. The breakfast was just perfect, plenty of choice. The recommendation of local places to eat were very helpful too. The dogs Tiggy & Teddy and their friend were great. As for Jack the 22yr old pussy cat he was amazing. Bless him. The location was just perfect for touring the area. :-)

Magnificent! Everything was there when I arrived in the evening, cookies, sweeties, apples. In the morning, yogurts, orange juice, a full baguette with butter and several marmelades, a croissant, a chocolat bread! And the coffee, one of the best I ever tasted. Could not believe I was entitled to all this.

Debbie and Gordon were fabulous. They made us feel welcome from the minute we walked into Fleur de Lys, nothing was too much trouble. They gave us a list of great places to visit and things to do while we were in the area. Highly recommend this place for a few days or even just over night.

The hosts are wonderful, friendly and welcoming. My room was beautifully clean with a fabulous view. I really liked the terrace overlooking the river, great for a cheeky glass or 2... it's an easy 5 minute walk to the town square, shops and restaurants. Parking nearby. I have no hesitation in recommending Chez Jack.
Everything! Ideally located in the centre of Confolens, right next to the free car park. Lovely period house with interesting features, very friendly and helpful hostess, who couldn’t have done more. Huge bedroom and shared lounge with TV, excellent huge continental breakfast with tons of choice! We loved staying there!

Lovely views over the river. Good central location. Parking outside on the road was pretty easy and free. Friendly staff made us feel welcome (although limited English speakers but that's half the fun of travelling). There's a bar that opens onto the street which was nice to sit outside and have a drink at.
