Every aspect of our stay was perfect . Lovely chateau with beautiful antiques on display .Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean .Christine and her husband were the perfect hosts and served us with a traditional continental breakfast supplemented with fruits from their garden each day.

Great ground floor room. I recommend booking it especially if you have limited mobility. Brigitte is very welcoming. She arranged our breakfast order and time the night before. The fruit crumble followed by eggs to order was delicious. We will come again.

Lovely country location. The room was spacious, clean and the bed comfy. We stayed for the evening meal which was excellent value and very nice. The breakfast room was stylish and the continental breakfast set us up for the day.

We enjoyed our week stay at La Croix Douillet cottage. The views from the cottage were beautiful and so peaceful. The cottage was as described “cozy” which was perfect for us, moreover well-kept and very clean.
The owners, Wendy and Philip were readily available if we needed support, which we appreciated – once again thank you.
The town of Gavray-sur-Sienne was a 5-minute drive away and everything needed was there. We found the local hotel (De la Gare) served homecooked meals which were delicious (reservations needed).
A special notation: everyone we met in this region were extremely friendly, kind and helpful which made our stay even more enjoyable.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Everything! Sylvie the owner was lovely and so helpful. The location of the house was perfect and not far from a shop. The house was spotlessly clean and so cozy. Parking right outside, beautiful little private garden to sunbathe, would happily live here if could. Well worth booking this place, a brilliant little find in the beautiful rural area of France. 🇫🇷
