We loved this place. The staff were really helpful with helping us do a trip into the desert. The hotel has a lovely garden with outside dining. They were happy to make us dinner after we arrived quite late from Neiva. Good breakfast.The pool is a welcome treat after the desert tour. The room was clean and cleaned every day. Villavieja itself is a sweet little desert town, ideal for a laidback, relaxing couple of days.

Pool was great for the heat, air con was greatly appreciated in the heat and the location was just a short walk from the centre of town. Room was a good size (bathroom slightly small) but the highlight was the private tour provided by the owner's son James of the tatacoa desert (which was an additional cost). Everything was setup to make it the perfect place to stay to see the desert and surrounding area. Would recommend to anyone.

The rooms are not luxurious but have all that’s needed and are clean. The owners are extremely welcoming, and happy to help out with whatever, from activities to transportation. Plus, they were very happy to know more and exchange with me, which made my stay even more worthy.
Highly recommended is the desert tour, and through them you can book one directly with a guide, and shape it together according to what you want. I managed to see parts of the desert that are not normally included in the std tours.

This place is hosted by a lovely couple who know the region by heart and give great tips on what to visit. They organise tours to visit the valley and offer a great breakfast. The rooms are super clean and have all the comfort you need. It was a great experience staying here.

The property is quite big and has a large swimming pool that is perfect for cooling off in the blistering desert heat. Our room gave us a nice view of the surroundings and had a nice bathroom.
