Mainly, the couple that runs the place - Ann and Jeff - are very hospitable and friendly people and go out of their way to please their guests. They also run an art gallery at the same location. Location: Baddeck is a great location for the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands National Park and is not far from the ferry terminal to Newfoundland at North Sydney. It is a small town where everyone knows everyone and the people are very friendly.

It's super clean and cozy, feels like an old charming country house. Breakfast was awesome, fresh and delicious. Staff super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends. My partner felt a bit cold at night and we contacted the front desk, the manager provided with an extra heater right away, super helpful.

Excellent room, spacious and comfortable. No AC, but there was no need for one as it was a cold day. Nonetheless i was offered a room with AC at the same rate, that was a nice touch. The price may seem huge for... for anyone outside of Canada, but it's actually a good deal if you compare it to what's around. Oh, coffee and milk in the room, nice.

Dinner and breakfast were both very good. The owner accepted payment as I could pay. Employees I came in contact with were all pleasant and professional. The views of the water from the room, the restaurant and from the grounds, the were magnificent!
