We were looking for a pet-friendly hotel near Salzburg to make a 1-night stop-over on our way to the South of Europe. For the selected dates this hotel was the only one offering reasonable price. Friendly staff. No problems to stay with pets (we were travelling with a dog). Free parking area with plenty of space. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was nice. No need to look for alternatives. Very clean rooms with new furniture. A huge advantage for families with children: hotel has an own playground to keep your kids busy and excited, while you are waiting for your food in restaurant. Internet connection was stable and reasonably fast.

Such a beautiful house, food and staff at Gasthof Schontal. We arrived in the early evening by bike and they made us feel immediately welcomed and then kept the kitchen open for our family to eat after cleaning up. The food was some of the best we have had on our entire trip.

They recomended us a restaurant near by so you have this also around (5-7 minutes by car). Parking availalable on the site. The photos are with the actual appartment. We will come back for sure.
