This is an absolute 5-star accommodation option. The double story stone house is only 1.5 years old, so despite being built 'old-style' it has all the modern cons! Where it is situated is in the old working village of Leus, up on the hill behind the town of Permet. This little village is perfect for photographs - from working donkeys and sheep, to fancy doorways and an elaborately decorated church (with frescoes on the exterior wall). We were there at the 'golden hour' of sunset, so had a wonderful time walking around the narrow alleys and lanes exploring. Our room was spacious and warm, and had a small balcony looking out to the patio. Despite there being an autumn nip in the air, we ate both our dinner (highly recommended) and our breakfast on this patio, as it was simply stunning looking out over the valley. We slept with our balcony door ajar, so as we were drifting off to sleep we could hear the bells of the returning goats and cows, and upon waking, we were met with the wonderful smell of freshly baked goods wafting upstairs from below. Divine! The drive into the premises is definitely for a 4WD (and confident drivers) only, but the owner will gladly meet you down in the main town and provide a lift up the hill. If you have the time, I would recommend staying here for a couple of days - there are plenty of walking trails nearby, and as mentioned, the village is great for sunset pictures (and the food is delicious!!!).

Alexandra was so lovely as were her breakfasts! All details were looked after and the entire place was super clean. Quiet location close to Villa Permet, 5 minute walk to town. Garden was so pretty. We hated to leave!
