Located within 600 metres of Matsumoto Station and 3.9 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Onyado Nono Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring provides rooms in Matsumoto. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared lounge and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. This was the best hotel during our two weeks in Japan. Amazing service, free ramen at night, amazing breakfast, beautiful spa, super friendly staff and excellent service.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. Everything was absolutely amazing, the staff was great and incredibly welcoming. And the room even had its own Super Famicom! It was easily one of the cosiest stays we have ever had.
Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko
Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. It is only a 2-minute walk from a ferry stop, where guests can board sightseeing cruises. Free WiFi is offered in all areas. That everything was very traditional.

Offering beautiful Mount Fuji views from all rooms, public baths, and restaurants, Mizno Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Train Station. Located on a hilltop and overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, the hotel serves French dinner with an advance reservation. View of Mount Fuji is excellent! Llarge room size including bathroom. Exceptional dinner and breakfast.
Fujikawaguchiko
Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. It features traditional Japanese cuisine served in the dining area, suites with in-room hot springs and a garden. Everything. Best accommodation I have been in my travel's life so far.
Kusatsu

This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free shuttle service. The accommodation provides a sauna, hot spring bath, restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Both the hotel and the room were absolutely beautiful. All facilities were clean and the onsen was really great as-well. The hotel is a short walk from the centre so it’s easy to look around. Definitely recommend!
Oshino
Located in Oshino and only 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland, 八海 木花館 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation offers a balcony. Guests can use the hot spring bath and the hot tub, or enjoy garden views. Dinner and breakfast are exceptional. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very private and secluded area which is perfect.

Surpassed our expectations in every way! Loved the included breakfast and 7 course dinner, the onsen-turned-bookstore, and the private onsen in our room with hot spring water directly from the source. 10/10 would return!
The ryokan is very clean and orderly. Mother and daughter run the place. They have great customer service. I also spent ¥6K for their dinner, and comparable to the few nearby restaurants. Especially nearby small restaurants need to be pre-booked. Location is great few blocks from the train station to Nagano City. Also few bus routes that take you to Snow Money Park and skiing areas. I was able to schedule a 30 minute slot for my private use of the outdoor onsen. I enjoyed my 2 night stay there.
The main feature of this stay for me was the hot springs. Being able to sit in the onsen with a view of the mountains was truly unique. The private sauna was also very nice. This ryokan is a fantastic place to get away from modern life for a few days and relax. The food is also very high quality, although the nature of some of the more traditional dishes takes some adjusting of the palette.
Great service, there's an outdoor and indoor onsen. The lady helped me with her food recommendations around the area. There's also an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage up the ryokan! Please read the instructions provided especially for which onsen you can go to (so you'll have to remember the Japanese characters for Man and Woman) and know when the outdoor onsen is available to guests and when it is available for private use. I used a car so this place was good for me. It had a lot of parking.
Breakfast and dinner was sumptuous. The room was very clean and spacious, we also had a very nice view of Mount Fuji from parts of the room. Private onsen was excellent as well. Everything was provided like a 5-star hotel, from toiletries to drinks, they even had a towel warmer! The bed was more comfortable than some hotels. The apartment had elements of a ryokan yet was modern like a service apartment. We exceptionally love the service of the hosts :)
We love the wooden smell in the property. Everything inside are very clean and new. The property is very near to Hoshino Hot Spring Onsen, just 3 minutes driving. The description in Booking.com matches the property perfectly. Very easy to communicate with the owner via email.

An incredible ryokan experience, highly recommend. Great location next to Fuji scenic ropeway and on the lakeshore. Our room had a beatiful view of mt fuji too. Staff were excellent, parking easy, entire property very clean and well kept. Dinner served in your room is an experience in itself, and of the ryokans we visited it was easily the tastiest one. There is a private onsen o wth a very nice view over the lake.
