Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.

Great design and facility! The hot spring and spa service were great - both adults and kids had a great time! Buffet breakfast was very luxurious. Staff were super friendly and helpful! We would love to stay again in the future!
The stay was in a totally natural setting in Tai an. Loved the entrance which had a suspension bridge to the hotel. We could use the common hot spring pool and hotel provided extra towels n changing rooms. Remember to bring your own swimwear n swimcap, but reception does sell if u forgot. Dinner on the premise is available if u booked by 5pm. Rooms were clean n comfortable. Breakfast spread was good enough.

We stayed in the room with triple beds. The scenery was so breathtaking from the balcony! The hot springs was lovely; there were so many choices of indoor private and outdoor hot spring pools to choose from.
We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the outdoor hot spring. Rooms were very spacious. Lovely view of the moutains from the corner room . Staff are friendly as well. Good place to chill and relax.
