Walking distance from Amanohashidate Station. Staff are very friendly as helpful. They picked us from the station (only) and offer to deliver your luggage to the station at stipulated timings.
There's a lovely cosy lounge where you can have coffee and just relax or play chess! They also guided me on how to get to Ine village and back. Overall a great stay with a private hotspring right within your room!

Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.

The room was lovely and spacious, and the ocean view was so beautiful especially with the birds flying by. The staff were helpful and the cleaning staff especially were very friendly. The hot springs in the hotel made the quite expensive one night cost much more worth it. The hotel is also right by the station which was very important for me.
It was my first time in a ryokan and I loved to stay there. Sadly it was only for one night.
Since the building is old the sanitaries are old fashioned as well, but this adds to the charme of the ryokan in my opinion. The garden view was beautiful and the onsen was very relaxing.
The elderly lady at the reception was extraordinarily kind. I can highly recommend staying there, I came here after my trip to Amanohashidate, it is only one station away by train.
the Japanese breakfirst is great, wonderful experience.
although there is no personal bathroom, the public hot spring & bathroom is a nice & fantastic experience. you can enjoy the special life experience.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the main photo , it looks like a shed and I was nervous, but this hotel really is lovely! The photo is of the covered entrance with a function room, the main hotel is behind that facing the tranquil ocean! Our room was gorgeous and waking up to the sound of the gentle waves was glorious. The beds were very comfortable and the room was incredibly spacious. The hot spring was lovely too! Wished we’d stayed longer.
This place is for those who want to try a very traditional Ryokan. Futons on tatami matting and a traditional onsen (shared hot tub). There is also a small hot tub in the room. The family have been running it for 13 generations. It is designated museum as they keep it as traditional as is possible. Our room gave onto a delightful Japanese garden just in from the coast and was very tranquil.
This is not for people looking for modern conveniences.
The onsen was a good first experience. Quaint and charming. Very earnest owner. Very hospitable staff
Enjoyed the brief tour of the museum. 1 stop Wsy from Amanohashidate which is really convenient. Authentic ryokan experience! Good value for money.
