Traditional Japanese Ryokan that offers a super clean room and facilities. You can have a bath in the Onsen (there are 4 baths) both in the morning and evening. The staff was also nice. It was a great experience!
Ideal if you're traveling by car.
Best Japan experience so far. Everything was great, from the room, the food (dinner + breakfast), the private onsen rooms till the parking in from of the hotel. The welcome was very friendly and relaxed. Everything was explained very clearly.
We loved using the properties private onsen. They have 4 private onsen, which can be used by 2-4 people each (preferably no single occupants). These weren’t advertised when we booked, so it was a very pleasant surprise. The property had plenty of free parking, and the room was comfortable and clean.
The hot spring is good. Between 9pm to 10:30pm, free noodles (raimen) will be provided, which is unexpected and exceeding my expectation. The buffet dinner is also very good. The location is very near Mount Aso (only 25mins driving time to Mount Aso Peak / Museum).
We really enjoyed staying at this traditional Ryokan. The breakfasts and dinners were traditional Japanese cuisine served by very respectful waitresses. Its well located for Mt Aso. We had our own private onsen which was an excellent way to end the day. We highly recommend staying at Aso Tsuruya
We loved our stay in this traditional ryokan and the very attentive staff made it feel very homely and welcoming. Our room was cozy, the dinner and breakfast were delicious (and they very kindly accommodated our vegetarian request), and the highlight of our stay was a private onsen we could book without any additional charge.
A very well maintained, heartwarming traditional Japanese ryokan! Welcomed by friendly lady owner and room was very big for two people. Dinner and breakfast were superb, many homemade pickles and fresh vegetables. Hot spring was small but hot enough to relieve fatigue. Enjoyed the foods and hotspring! Fully recharged after the stay.
We had a wonderful time in this friendly ryokan. The facilities and rooms were all clean and well looked after. We particularly enjoyed the private onsens and the sumptuous dinner and breakfast. We hope to visit again!
Super friendly and comfortable ryokan we stayed! I must say this is the ryokan have to stay in Aso! Although room without bathroom, but room comes with bigger space and basin and toilet! Our baby has so much fun to enjoy in tatami room, and also we enjoyed so many times in private onsen! Breakfast and dinner is delicious! I’d love to come back again!!
