Our room at Retreat on the Lake was absolutely perfect. The room was large, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were great. We were surprised how quiet the road was. The location is perfect - just across from places like Tilted Cafe and Ingles Market, with lots of other amenities nearby too. We spoke with Chris on the phone as we hadn't received our door details (due to me having an international phone) and he was lovely - polite and helpful.

    The renovated motel was well thought out. The room had lots of amenities in a small space, but still didn't feel crowded The refrigerator and coffee maker were nice touches, the television was large, and the space felt clean and comfortable. While the motel doesn't have an office, the owner/manager was very quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating.

    First and foremost the front desk ladies were the friendliest and most helpful that I have ever encountered and any hotel/motel/lodge that I have ever stayed in. The lodge itself is beautiful and the location stunning.

    We were on the front side on the bottom, so no view really. The motel lobby is very beautiful! They have a breakfast/dining area that is very nice and stocked with goodies.
