Looking for a motel?

Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

Very cozy, old fashion motel. It is as though it stepped out of the 60's. It was well appointed. There was a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, locker room/shower game room. People gathered in front lobby with fire going, playing cards or guitar. Don't expect modern or a young hip crowd. Breakfast was great. They had something different everyday and it was served to you.

I don't usually stay at hostels, but this one was great. Staff was very helpful and personable. Complimentary afternoon wine was one of several nice touches. Lovely plant-filled outdoor sitting area around the pool--much nicer than at a motel. In the evening the sounds from the yard carried, but right at 10, as soon as quiet hours began, it became quiet, and it was easy to relax and sleep. So convenient to downtown Aspen--it was nice to be able to walk from the hostel to the downtown.

The Tyrolean motel is located on the main street in Aspen, within walking distance to all activities and eating establishments. The bus stop to all ski areas and the airport is within 100 yards. Staff is very accommodating, handling our requests efficiently. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and having a kitchen with stove top, microwave, and refrigerator is a nice bonus.

Nothing. By far the worst hotel (let's call it what it actually is...a motel) experience I've ever had. Should've paid more attention to the google reviews before signing up for this dumpster fire.

Decent location for walking (although the sidewalk wasn't cleared so it was a bit treacherous). Everything in the rooms was very basic, well-worn, low quality furniture- BUT everything seemed clean enough... it was adequate. It was like staying at a motel, but it's Aspen so you have to pay over $300 a night for this experience.

This small and older motel really is reminiscent of Swiss ski lodges! Clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

The room was big and comfy, in the courtyard next to the pool. They had breakfast available and free parking on site. Great location on the main road. Great and friendly service.

It’s beautifully updated and appointed late 1940’s motel. Very elegant mountain ski lodge feel to it.
