Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The landlord was very friendly. The motel is neat and clean, the room was comfortable. Breakfast was available and good. We used Milton as a base to visit Dunedin, which is less than an hour away.
Owner/managers were friendly and helpful, with good tips and local knowledge about the cycle trail we were riding, and where to eat. All units are ground floor and the carpark is spacious. I was very pleased to see an enclosed/covered bicycle shed under construction to a high standard. The location is on the main road, with shops very nearby. The motel is also easy to find and close to the Clutha Gold cycle trail.
Location was so lovely and quiet. View from Studio unit was amazing, so much better than a motel complex. Hosts very easy to get along with, instructions very clear, and such a relaxed break away from home.
We are a family with a little baby had a great night there. Everything of John's Court Motel is excellent, location is on the highway but quite. Our two bed room apartment is very clean, massage tub and comfy bed. Also, John is very nice and helpful, special thanks to him for helping me call doctor for a small incident.
The Motel was spacious, beautifully tidy and clean and it was very well and tastefully furnished. The room showed that it had been very well cared for and presented in an "as new" state.
Checking in was easy. The staff were helpful. The location was good - the main road traffic noise is blocked out by the double glazed doors. A comfortable room on the main road with all that we needed for the stay. We liked it enough that we tried to book a stay at an Azure motel in Oamaru but they were full.
We were visiting friends in Milton and opted to stay at the motel as our friends house is a tad small. I looked online and St Johns had amazing feedback on the cleanliness of their accommodation. We were not disappointed. They were in the perfect location, only a couple of minutes walk from our friends house and the owners were really lovely and friendly, both on the phone and in person. We would totally recommend this motel to anyone:).
