Spotlessly clean, spacious and very well provisioned. The kitchen had everything I needed. It lay well to the sun. Reading light over the bed was great (this is a failing in many motels) Provision of a potted plant and a wall clock gave it a homely feel

These are standard motel units. Clean and tidy. Across the road is a lovely cafe. Kitchenette, fridge, coffee making facilities. Shower and toilet are separate rooms.

Beautiful place, beautiful setting, well looked after and maintained grounds. Cabin just lovely. So comfortable with good facilities. Mini kitchen area, dining table and outside patio table and chairs. Bed very comfortable, lovely pillows and right weight quilt. Carpeted, loads of windows. Shower block modern and clean, kitchen facilities good and well equipped. Loved this place. Cheviot a sweet town with good coffee shops.

Actually, it exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone who is going to the Picton Ferry and needs a place to stay outside of Christchurch. It was very clean, albeit the bed was a little soft for me, but that is only my preference. It's a short 3-hour trip to Picton from there so if you have an afternoon ferry crossing this place is perfect. The coffee was amazing in the room as well. Breakfast was not included, but this was fine as this is a Motel, not a borstal. Would give it 5 stars as a rating if I could.

This was a good place for us to stay for a night to break up the journey from Blenheim to Christchurch. We stayed in the motel which suited our needs but other types of accommodation were available and the pool was a bonus. I particularly liked the layout of the site with parking at one side of the motel and a veranda at the other side into the garden with a sofa as well as a patio set for sitting out. It was all very well kept.

This is a nice facility that has motel rooms, cabins with shared remote bathrooms, hookups for RV/Caravans, and campsites for pitching a tent. I stayed in stand alone cabin with shared remote bathroom. The cabin was very clean, bed very comfortable and it had a water kettle, refrigerator and microwave oven with a cute porch with nice view of the Alps and surrounding meadows. Very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.

We have stayed in a lot of motels in NZ and this one is certainly one of the best, warm, comfy and even some milk supplied which is great. Would highly recommend it. We will be back.
