It was close to the airport so very convenient for our late night arrival in Christchurch. Communication was great and the late check in was easy. Everything went smoothly including the shuttle back to the airport the next morning. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. And the staff were great. Everything you want for an inexpensive overnight near the airport.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The motel is extremely well maintained and obviously run with love and care. Our room was warm and welcoming. The heater and electric blankets were great, as we stayed in the middle of winter and it was cold outside. The room was simple and classy and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and it was very clean. The hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome and cared for.
The motel is at the end of the town centre street, very easy walking to the restaurants, waterfront and shops. We would definitely stay again.
The motel was easy to find as we arrived in Akaroa. Great location; just a short walk into town and there was a fun little pub and restaurant across the road. Free parking. The check-in staff were a highlight, super kind and gave us some tips on what to see and do while we were in town. They even had DVDs you could borrow to play in your room which I thought was cute. The room was as described and had everything we need. Clean, spacious, warm, and had a little balcony overlooking a stream. I'd definitely stay here again.
This motel was perfect in every way- location, comfort, cleanliness and super friendly welcoming reception staff. Great value accommodation in a beautiful little town. Highly recommend when in Akaroa!
The staff are so friendly this was our second time staying at the motel and the staff remembered us from our previous stay. Very friendly and welcoming. Room was perfect.
