Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Location - was close to Victoria but the grounds are like being in a forest. Woke up to bird song in the mornings. Wonderful, natural surroundings. The hosts were very friendly, they were quick to fix a small problem. Very nice stay, will recommend Malahat Bungalows Motel to friends & family and will definitely come again when we come dto Vancouver Island.
No problem with short reservation. Checked in at 10pm to a cheery professional owner operator. Room was spotless, completely quiet, comfortable beds, in-room heat controls, secure doors and windows, excellent shower, excellent coffee, strong wifi. We were back on the road at 6 am feeling rested. Great location.
Very nice location and a great view on the water. The interior of the rooms is very nice and overall a great place to stay even longer. The service people are very friendly although only remotely available.
This is a budget motel close to the highway but it is clean, comfortable, the property is well kept and the owner is very friendly. I’d stay here again without hesitation!
Expected the bungalows to provide coffee/tea because it is a motel, but obviously did not read well what it supplied. Clean, comfortable bed, very private and relaxing. Wish it had been a warmer day, but cabin completely comfortable.
Exceptionally clean. Pleasant and helpful staff. Wonderful view from rooms and restaurant (Dependant on the weather since the resort is on the summit of the Malahat highway). Excellent meals presented in Alpina Restaurant. Free parking. Convenient to Victoria. Close to the swimming, fishing and short hiking possibilities at Spectacle Lake Provincial Park.
