The woman at the reception was very welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, and with nice furniture and wall-decorations. The kitchenette was small but had everything we needed, and the bathroom was simply as it should be. The center of Christchurch was about 15 minutes walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. There was also a large park with botanical gardens nearby, which we enjoyed very much.

The staff are all amazing, so friendly and attentive. Plus a free shuttle is available to and from the airport. Totally recommend this hotel.

For this price the property is exceptional - it is very clean and facilities are newly renovated. Room is spacious and has cooking utensils. We love the breakfast as well. We arrived late but it was easy to check in with the instructions from the staff.

Well set in the Merivale district of Christchurch, The Adelphi is situated 1.4 km from Christchurch Art Gallery, 2 km from Hagley Park and 4.3 km from Christchurch Railway Station. Featuring a garden, the 4-star motel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.5 km from Canterbury Museum. We needed somewhere comfortable and clean to do laundry in before we left from our 2.5 weeks trip. This was one of my favorite places we stayed because of the cleanliness, ample space in the unit, modern vibe with fun color, a separate room for the bed, and charm of the surrounding areas. It was the perfect place to end our trip and only 10-15 min to the airport. The mother/daughter owners were so kind and you can tell they take pride in what they do. They helped us when we needed a late check-in and always answered the phone. They have pears and apples planted outside along the fence for customers which was a beautiful and thoughtful touch. I would love to stay here again if I’m back in Christchurch.
