Superb views, well equipped
Lovely premises. Beautiful and newly renovated. Luxury bathroom. Nice breakfast area.
Great place with beautiful furnishings and spectacular views over the water. Lovely modern kitchen and we really appreciated the coffee pods. Extremely comfortable bed and great shower in the ensuite. Superbly clean and the place smelled amazing - where can I buy the Orkney Soaps diffuser!? Short walk to the foot passenger ferry terminal, pub (how friendly are these locals!) and the sells everything shop on the pier.
The host was very welcoming and friendly. Shona showed us round and explained all the facilities. There was a welcome package with tea coffee and treats plus fresh milk and eggs in the fridge. The views and the scenery were stunning. The accommodation was warm, comfortable and relaxing it provided a superb base for exploring Orkney.
Outstanding B&B felt like I was visiting family it was so friendly. The attention to detail was remarkable, I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
Excellent B&B, you have a full suite of private rooms which are all tastefully furnished and properly cleaned. Everything that you need is provided. Janice, the host, was excellent, she looked after us superbly during our stay at the old school, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was outstanding, plenty of choice. Would highly recommend staying here.
Location was easy to find. Parking was easy. I was late off a ferry but the gentleman who greeted me was so pleasant and not at all put out - very Orcadian. Room was very cosy and comfortable with everything one would need. The bathroom was not en suite but was exclusive and right next to the room, so not a problem at all. Breakfast was superb. Exceptional place and would book again.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting Orkney mainland. Kay was absolutely wonderful and we felt so special staying here. She went the extra mile for us and the breakfast was outstanding. Felt like we were in a luxury hotel! The bed was probably the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on! Don’t be put off by the lack of the reviews, they’ve only recently opened and you would be missing out if you didn’t choose here for your Orkney visit. It’s also in a great location, right in the centre of Stromness. We will deffo be back!
