Lynda's homemade cakes are lovely, and even more cake and Eric's homemade tablet was kindly put in our room. Dower House is a beautiful property and home. Our room was beautifully decorated and furnished, the soft furnishings are made by Lynda, all from Harris Tweed. The bathroom was very modern with a large shower. Lynda and Eric are very serious about the covid regulations within the hospitality industry. So everything was super clean and made us feel very safe. The breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and was super tasty, made with great produce and a lot of it homemade such as the bread and jam. Newtonmore is a lovely place with great places to eat, we had a good meal at the Glen Hotel. Lynda and Eric's hospitality goes above and beyond anything we have experienced on our travels over the last two weeks and we would throughly recommend Dower House to all travellers. The 5-star bed and breakfast features mountain views and is 33 km from Balmoral Castle. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. The owners were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was exceptional with fantastic views from our room and the breakfast room.

Found in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park, Scandinavian Village in Aviemore offers high-quality accommodation beside these rugged mountains. Furnished with Scandinavian pine, its apartments offer free WiFi and parking. Quick response from the host. The place is neat, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed. The washers and tumble dryers at the guest laundry area is a plus. The apartment size is able to accommodate all four of us. The place is walking distance to the town center with many eateries and also a supermarket, Tesco. The apartment has two bathrooms and toilets which cuts down queuing time for our group. There are also a lot of car parking lots.

This former church has been tastefully converted, enabling retention of the original features. Auld Kirk Hotel is situated in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside. It features free Wi-Fi and free off-site parking.

Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and made from local ingredients wherever possible, and Auld Kirk's chef has won numerous awards and accolades. Comfortable, well-appointed room which was quiet despite being adjacent to the main road into the town. The owners and their staff know their business very well, and work hard to present a very high standard (e.g., great breakfasts!). The building is a converted church, and retains some characterful features from its previous use. Location is a short walk to the bars and restaurants in the town.
