We booked this break for the Rugby League Magic weekend. We usually stay at the Park Dean in Ashington but we wanted a more tranquil break. On arrival we were greeted by staff and shown to our accomodation. Staff and the owner who we met on the last day are friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the dog friendly Burrow which was gorgeous, the decor is to a high standard with a kitchenette and ensuite. It was cleaned to a high standard but the views were outstanding. This was an amazing weekend break.

The staff were exceptional, especially Khailfa, Catlin & Tracey. All the staff were super friendly and helpful regarding local places to visit as well as looking after everyone in the hotel. The food was superb, Fantastic choice at breakfast. Fresh Fruits, Juice, Cereals, bagels, crumpets, croissants, cooked breakfast, tea and coffee including a latte. Khailfa had extensive knowledge of the menu having been the head chef for approximately seven years before his well deserved promotion.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful and hats off to the chef as we ate at the hotel every night of our stay and the food was superb! Definitely get the hand made chips they are to die for! The dining tables had art vinyl which were a lovely theme though the location of a certain body part from Michelangelo’s “creation of Adam” painting did cause some chuckles when eating our dinner! I’ve put a photo in so you can chuckle too 😂
