It was in a quiet location but still accessible to St Peter’s Port. It was very close for airport arrival and departures and about a 15 minute ride by bus to town. Usually the bus system is very good but we had a nearby road closure and not many buses were running. Not the property’s fault. We loved being so close to a shop, Co op behind the property but really enjoyed having a pub on site. We had a delightful breakfast each day and had some evening meals. Tuesday night the restaurant is closed. The meals were beautiful every time. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast was excellent, the location was a little too far up the hill. We have been to Guernsey previously but had forgotten how steep that hill is. However it did not spoil our holiday. Thank you.

I've stayed at La Fregate a number of years ago and it only gets better. Excellent location and beautiful views over St Peter Port harbour. Comfortable rooms and excellent beds. The chef is outstanding and I enjoyed the best hot breakfast I recall having in a hotel. The restaurant for dinner is superb with a great seasonal menu.

When we arrived the receptionist was friendly and made us very welcome. The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was lovely and all waiting and bar staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. Unfortunately we were unable to have the breakfast which was included in the price as our ferry times were changed to early morning. We were however offered a packed up breakfast to take with us.

Great hotel, just on the outskirts of town but only a 5 minute walk, staff are really helpfull.
The location suited us as we have visited Guernsey before and had our own car with us. However, although there is a good bus service to St. Peter Port (Bus stop less than 5 minutes from the hotel), without a car exploring the rest of the island might be more difficult than staying at a more central location. The standard of food and service was generally very good.

Hotel was perfect
I loved the staff, how clean my hotel room was, most days apart from two I came back from breakfast to my room already done at near 9am which I thought was great!! I loved the location as was near everything, and thought I’d be more out the way of things when booking so was nicely surprised, always had a parking spot outside no matter how busy it was, was the best value for money i could find for nearly a months stay aswell, think I’ll have an apartment next time!
The staff are extremely welcoming attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Reasonably priced accommodation serving good value for money evening meals. Lovely relaxing terrace and gardens at the back of the hotel.
