The owner is also a lovely woman who stopps by and liked to chat. If you know spanish or a little portugues then you can talk to the hosts. They don't really know english here.

They went above and beyond at every possible turn to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. When I arrived my sugar was crashing and I was quite sick and they not only ensured I was comfortable as possible immediately but prepared food specifically for me and went to far to send a boat back to the main land to obtain a new diabetes testing kit for me. My husband and I were floored. They also made sure we had sunscreen and brought my husband’s favorite cereal in from the main land. The accommodation is perfect and comfortable and the breakfast spread is fit for a queen/king. The beaches are private and you’re not inundated with people trying to sell things, it feels like a true paradise. If you’re looking to unplug and unwind this is the place. Every interaction with staff was beyond perfect. I travel extensively, usually 40+s stays a year..and this will always stand out as an exceptional stay with extraordinarily kind people. We visited the lagoon and saw heaps of friendly fish and sea turtles swimming right along shore, just a minute walk from the accommodation. A side note, even after my husband and I had already left the property and were stranded for a ride in a different part of Brazil, the owners of this accommodation arranged transportation for us and checked in to make sure we arrived safely. Just phenomenal people. I can’t say enough good things about them and their beautiful island.

One is "Casa da Praia" a charming main house with three rooms on the edge of the sea and another "Casa da Floresta" with four private rooms in the forest. The trilha (5 minutes walk up to the forest house) offers panoramic views where the full landscape can be appreciated. This place is paradise! Opening the door and wandering out onto the veranda for breakfast by the sea is amazing. In the morning there is no one else on the beach and only the few guests in the couple of others rooms so it is truly the most peaceful place on earth!
