Everything was absolutely perfect. The place itself is a true paradise, and if I were ever to get married, I'd do it here! They also had a beautiful indoor pool, open from early to late, which was a big plus. And the breakfast was probably one of the best I've had in Portugal!

What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

The surroundings are amazing, forests with mushrooms and trees. Also great for kids to be able to learn about farm animals and rural environments.

Offering an outdoor pool, Equinaturi is set in Santo Tirso, 24 km from Porto. Braga is 26 km from the property. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property, and air conditioning is available at some units. I like the property it was so bright and green right in mountains and has amazing swimming pool and place to park the car.

Santa Maria Da Feira

Viviana and Carlos, our hosts, were above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience: showing us around the property, sharing with us their knowledge on plants, farm animals and more, offering us to try new and delicious fruits (like a melão-pera, who new?), etc. The salt water pool was at a delicious temperature, the gardens were so beautiful and the bed, super comfortable. The location is very close to the beautiful medieval castle of Santa Maria da Feira, a must, and to other places of interest like Aveiro and of course, Porto. It was so nice to have fresh-laid eggs for breakfast, and to wake up to the sound of church bells and roosters! Finally, it was not clear on the description if we were going to have access to a private bathroom, but we did: the property has four bedrooms upstairs and two full bathrooms. If you rent only one room, they leave the one next to it free, so you don't have to share a bathroom... convenient!

A true 5-star experience on a magnificent estate above the Douro, a former winery with a handful of luxurious lodges with breathtaking views scattered amid the vineyards. Warm, attentive, personal service. Excellent restaurant with top-notch Ventozelo winelist. Highly, highly recommended.
What a hotel! A must stay when in Porto and we preferred staying on the Gaia side. Literally right next to port lodges and walkable to everything. It was like the Ritz Carlton with Marriot prices. We ate at the Yeatman restaurant which was the best meal of my life. Absolutely loved this place and will be returning.

A great location, close enough to all the port lodges and the riverside restaurants etc but just beyond the noise of the latter. Staff were fabulous, a blend of non-obsequious service, with great knowledge and a can do attitude.
Vila Nova de Gaia is a great location for visiting Port. Lots to do on the riverfront, restaurants and Port Lodges. Then, a short walk across the bridge into Porto. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. We met Paula when we parked our car (included in the price, in a monitored lot, close by). They own the store/restaurant across the street from the apartment where breakfast is provided. Paula was extremely nice and gave us some good recommendations on the area. She was a pleasure to meet.
Friendly and informative staff. Great breakfast. Location superb - on the river across from the port lodges and adjacent to the bridge and historical centre. Tram stop directly outside the hotel.
The hotel was exceptional. The location was excellent, and our room had an amazing view of the city. The breakfast was very good with eggs and bacon made to order and a delicious buffet of other treats. While everything was excellent, the service of the staff members was the most memorable part. They helped us arrange for restaurants in the evening as well as coordinated a tour at one of the wine lodges. The location is also excellent for accessing all of Porto and walking to Gaia.
Paola was very responsive to questions about the apartment. Very clean. In a wonderful location in the heart of the lodges. I would stay here again.
