The location next to the bus stop and walking distance to downtown was great. The owner was very patient and helpful and answered my many questions.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. I loved how cozy and comfortable this Ryokan was. Everything is well-maintained and clean. We visited during winter because we really wanted to try skiing. The owners helped us find our way around, from where to rent gears and equipment to suitable skiing spots for beginners. They also picked us up at the Happo Terminal Bus Station for free, and contacting them was not an issue because they ensured they would be on time. I would also like to mention the mini library section. Although we can't read in Japanese, we enjoyed it and were able to find our favorite Japanese anime comics. Additionally, we opted for breakfast, and it was really delicious and healthy! Every day, they served us with a different set of meals.

He has a keen attention to detail & his personal touch to the entire experience is unparalleled in any other accommodations. The room feels nice and cozy, the bathroom although it is shared, you can book your usage time so it is an amazing private bathing experience included with an outdoor onsen.
The breakfast experience is simply amazing, every item in the breakfast set from the home made fluffy potato bread & apple jam to the well cooked mains (we had scrambled eggs and ham) with the dining area right by the hearth, the choice of classical music plus every cutlery, piece of furniture and room decor, you could tell it has been intentionally chosen to create this exquisite experience.
Location wise it’s a short walk from echoland where there’s plenty of dinner options. (Do try to make reservations when possible), and it is opposite alpine chalets, one of the shuttle bus pick up points for the goryu-iimori & Hakuba 47 ski resorts.
If you are someone who appreciates the little things, this is the perfect place for your stay at Hakuba.

Belnina locates in a quite convenient spot of Echoland to access shuttle buses to many ski resorts. The host Taka and his wife were really hospitable and friendly, and they also recommended restaurants and coffee shops when being asked, which were all delicious! I truly had a lovely stay there.

We had an amazing experience staying here while in Hakuba Valley. The owners were full of hospitality, recommending the best places to eat and drink in town, and giving us best opinions on which mountains to ski at depending on the daily conditions. Staying here felt so cozy. The lodge is in a great location. About a 2min walk to the free resort shuttles and about a 10min walk to the town of Echoland. Definitely recommend if staying in the Hakuba valley.

Loved the location in the woods, the high lodge ceilings, the breakfasts with freshly-baked bread and good coffee and teas, the public spaces, the hot tub, being able to ride their old mountain bikes around town. Koki gave us a ride to and from the train station, plus guidance on where to hike. Koki is a good cook (pasta for dinner) and was able to accommodate my husband’s vegan diet. He was very nice to us.
I cannot praise the staff of this family run lodge enough. Paul in particular was so helpful with picking us up and handling luggage logistics. This was our second time staying here and it was great. The more traditional rooms with tatami mats are very comfortable. It is an easy walk to the nearest Happo lift (in snowboard boots, less so in ski boots). Breakfast was great with a good variety over the period of our stay.
Nice staff. 3 minute walk to the Sakka lift. Snowboard/Ski rentals in the lodge are very reasonably priced and convenient. Excellent restaurant (called hybrid) next door. Hot breakfast in the morning for a quick bite and meeting other travelers. Large and welcoming living-room-like common area for socializing. Clean. Fun decor. Staff will drive you to the bus station upon arrival and departure. Evening rides for shopping/dinner/onsen. Nice onsens at hotels about a 15 minute walk away. Convenient gear storage room.
Great location right on the slopes near the gondola at Tsaigke Kogen. Very clean, nice staff and everything you need for a basic ski lodge style accommodation. The value for money is excellent and the restaurant within the main building is great and very good food and a great selection of wine and Japanese whisky. Drying room, kitchen, free wifi and shared areas.
Very homely and warm feeling. Staff (Anis particularly) were very helpful. Bought lift passes cheaper and also got a discount of 20% on ski gear by using this hotel. They drove us to rail station as well. Bus pick up and drop off point for ski lodge out front of hotel. Great pizza across road also
We loved the view and location!! Incredible. The timber ski lodge feel was lovely and staff were very helpful.
The location is in the forest, there are other lodges in the neighborhoud. The comunal area is nice and comfortable. There is a big TV with Netflix.
Alp Lodge is opposite the piste. It has a wonderful ski lodge atmosphere . The breakfast hits the spot and is un usual for this area. The bar is an added bonus and brings everyone together and makes new ski buddies for the next day if you need someone to ski with . It’s relaxed and has a feeling of “ Faulty Towers” in the best way . I loved having my own personal bathroom .
The owner, Jake, couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Picked up and dropped up several times in our short stay. The lodge is in need of a few jobs done at the time of writing, but this is reflected in the pricing. It was one of the most reasonably priced lodges over the new year 2023, so if you’re looking for a cheap, clean room to sleep, friendly staff, good breakfast and easy access to the shuttle bus, you’ll be fine here! Looking forward to another stay!
