We loved that we could book the in-house onsen for an hour privately. It was good to soak and relax after a long day of skiing! The breakfasts were an absolute treat and we appreciated that we could eat dinner in house too, saving us going out in the cold at night. To top this all off, Maseyo picked us up and dropped us off at the station when we arrived and departed. We hope to be back.

We were thoroughly impressed by the owner's homemade breakfast. For the price, the attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly stood out. Each morning we had different meals made from local and seasonal ingredients. The small dining room was beautiful. The owner is very friendly and seems to have much experience traveling around the world. There are two lovely hot spring baths. Enjoyed the baths so much.

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. Free WiFi is available at the entire property and guests can reserve a private open-air bath overlooking the forest. A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. Onsen was brilliant after a day on the mountain.

JR Hakuba Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. Very well located cabin close to the main Happo One gondola and situated in a peaceful area amongst trees. Toshi the host was exceptional and was very accommodating. He picked us up from the train station and continued to offer lifts throughout our stay. I would definitely return here, thanks for a great stay!

Situated a 2-minute walk from the Happo Bus Terminal, the completely non-smoking Ski-Kan features a hot-spring bath and hotel-wide free WiFi. The compact Japanese rooms have futon bedding and an LCD TV. I love everything about this hotel especially the owner :) she was REALLY NICE :)

Guests at snowhere ski lodge can enjoy an American breakfast. I like everything about the lodge. The room has its own en suite bath tub and an outside hot bath and balcony. The accomodation also has free breakfast plus they give free shuttle to the ski resort. Chris and Dan are both so friendly and very accomodating. The place is also near Echoland which has a lot of restaurants. It's like home away from home. We will be back for sure next winter!

Nagano Station is 43 km from Lodge Blue Mount Hakuba, while Zenkoji Temple is 44 km away. The nearest airport is Matsumoto Airport, 66 km from the accommodation. The lodge was beautiful, the rooms were big, and the beds and beddings were very comfortable. We had the best sleep in there that we would sleep in! The kids (17 and 5) especially loved the loft feature and the communal living space. The drying room was amazing and absolutely essential during our snowy weekend. They have great partnerships with ski rental places that we only needed to leave our gear at their place and not have to return them to the rental stores. Super convenient. The huge private bathroom was detached, but it was just a few steps across the hall so it was not a problem for us at all. Breakfast was also amazing and well thought out. But Greg and Karen were the best part of the trip for us. They were very warm, kind, and extremely helpful making sure we made the most out of our short stay at Hakuba. We're beginner skiers, so we knew nothing about gear and getting lessons in Hakuba. So they booked everything for us, including rental, transfer, ski school, taxis, and even dinner reservations. We were absolutely spoiled. Best of all, we had the most lovely conversations with them by the fire place, and my children are especially fond of them. Our stay was way too short and we cannot wait to be back next winter.
